Your First Post

For your first blog post think about the correlation between "The Arrowmaker" story discussed in class today and your current task of keeping an on-line blog. In what ways does keeping a blog require you to risk yourself in language? Why do you think that blogging and other on-line forms of communication have become so popular? After posting your own thoughts read and respond to 2 other classmates. Note - you must leave me a comment on this post so that I can link back to your new class blog.     Barnes & Noble Has Complications:A Surgeon's Notes on an Imperfect Science by Atule Gawande.
    It is $14.88 tax included. (They only have three remaining on the shelf.) I told them that our class needed this book,so they said they would order more for all of you.

    Wow!
    The Arrowmaker is hard to diagnose because I feel in my Heart that I would not have shot the arrow without 100% knowledge of whom I am Shooting. I would feel ashamed if I shot and killed a child, or someone in my Tribe. He must have been so confident that he knew that the person he shot in the heart was in fact 100% enemy and not a child etc. I hope that I am never faced with that critical decision in my life. I would do whatever it takes to protect my family,but killing someone would be difficult to do. On the other hand my natural instincts as a man says kill,kill, kill and ask questions later. Thank God that my heart is stronger than my natural instinct as a man. We should love all and not kill. Please think before you do something you will regret later on in life.

    I think the guy in the tent made the right decision by shooting the other guy. Because the guy inside told him to make himself known in his tribal language. So if the person outside the tent was part of the tribe he should have found some way to make himself known.
